Welcome to this week’s batch of metro Atlanta business networking leads! This week is a little thin, as I’ve been out of pocket for much of the week. Here you’ll find all manners of things networking related – job leads, appointments, news, interesting Georgia-based solutions, and more. Remember, you can contribute to this list each week by contacting me!
And of course, the proverbial ground rules: For certain leads, I must be careful not to disclose too much information – I want to be respectful of the confidentiality and trust I have established with people. In those instances, I realize that I may need to act as a conduit for interested parties, in order to protect the anonymity of certain of these leads. However, I will aspire to provide as much information as possible here in the text, so that you can contact each other directly (I really *don’t* want to get into the habit of playing middleman, other than passing along contact information).
If you have something that you would feel to be of merit for this new section of the Pothole, by all means, let me know (spammers and open solicitors need not apply). And don’t forget to browse some of the past networking leads – many of them are still active!

If you haven’t seen the article I posted yesterday, Carbon Motors, a new breed of American automobile manufacturer, has chosen Atlanta for their HQ and operations.
Syncro Medical Innovations announced a series-A round of $2.2M lead by Norwich Ventures. Syncro manufactures a magnetically-guided enteral feeding tube. Their web site hasn’t been updated since 2002, so hopefully some of those hard-earned dollars will go towards revamping their web presence!
EGT Inc., a provider of digital video equipment, has raised $8.5 million in its third round of venture capital, with participation from Noro-Moseley Partners, H.I.G. Capital, Sevin Rosen Funds and others. Founded in 2000, EGT offers equipment that allows cable, telco and satellite network operators the ability to deliver more television channels over their existing networks. The company said that it has experienced rapid growth through product deployments at some the largest operators in North America and around the world. The new financing will support operational growth and international expansion and will speed new product delivery for Internet protocol television.
