    Blogging for Business Success

    400TechConn.jpgOn Tuesday, March 14th, I will be moderating a panel on “business blogging” for the 400 Technology Connection.

    Our goals with the panel:

    • To disseminate information about the Business and Social aspects of Blogging.
    • To show how Blogging has value to the business and customer.
    • To show the audience that Blogging can be an effective means of Business and Social interaction.

    We have a great panel as well!

    The program will take place on Tuesday, March 14th, 2006, at 7:30am., and will be held at the Microsoft SE Headquarters in Sanctuary Park, Alpharetta, GA.

    Speaking at the Kettering Executive Network

    For those of you who are members of The Kettering Executive Network (an executive networking group here in Atlanta), I will be delivering a presentation entitled “Business Blogging: Leveraging Web 2.0 to Extend Your Personal Brand”.

    I will provide an overview of business blogging, and share you some solid strategies for taking advantage of blogging to further build your executive brand.

    I will be presenting on Friday, February 17th, 2006, at 10:00am. The meeting will be held in Suite 700 of the Seibel Systems building at 1 Glenlake Parkway.

    If you are not a member of Kettering, but would like to have the presentation delivered for your organization, by all means, let me know.

    Mornin’ Cup: Keeping a Tidy House

    coffee.gifIt has been just a short while since I made the decision to publish my own professional blog. Thus far, the experience has been extremely gratifying. In addition to enjoying the creative outlet that blogging represents, I have also have the pleasure of “virtually” meeting a lot of new people. I had no idea that blogs could gain traction so quickly. I thought I had two readers at the most, but it turned out to be three! All kidding aside, I appreciate all of your kind emails. The general consensus among visitors seems to be that there aren’t a whole lot of executives out there blogging. A shame, but hopefully some more will come around to the idea.

    Mornin’ Cup: Welcome to My Pothole

    I have finally decided to join the masses and publish a weblog (blog, for short). It is a decision that has been a long time in the making. It isn’t that I failed to see the value in professional blogging. I just have never been able to find the time. Now, in a slightly premature 2006 new year’s resolution, I am hellbent on making time for it.
