    Giving Back to Those who Gave Nearly All

    soldier.gifThose of you who have been reading my blog for any period of time will know that I typically don’t post things that aren’t relevant to my core topic areas. However, once in a while, something comes along that shakes that. Irrespective of what you may or may not think about the war in Iraq, our veterans are returning home - many maimed or disfigured.

    Thomas Edison State College is doing their part to help these brave individuals get on with their lives by creating a targeted scholarship fund. I hope you’ll read the rest of this, and consider a tax-deductible donation.

    Bikerworlds.com helping Toys-for-Tots

    larry.jpgMy good friend Gregg over at Bikerworlds.com has started an interesting project. His mascot, Larry the Bikerworlds Bear, is riding across country to raise money for Toys-for-Tots. This is not only a great cause, but a really creative way to get online community members involved in offline activities.

    What is really nifty is this promotional video that they put together, showing the current progress of Larry’s trip. This is a MUST SEE video for anyone looking to get their online community members involved in a charity cause or event.
