I normally don’t get too much into my personal life here at The Pothole, but my wife and I were blessed with the arrival of our first child over the weekend, and as you can imagine, things are er… chaotic? :) Nevertheless, I did manage to cull a few decent leads from my travels, so enjoy!

And of course, the proverbial ground rules: I must be careful not to disclose too much information - I certainly want to be respectful of the confidentiality and trust I have established with people. However, I do occasionally come across some things that might be of interest to others. In certain instances, I realize that I may need to act as a conduit for interested parties, in order to protect the anonymity of certain of these leads. However, I will aspire to provide as much information as possible here in the text, so that you can contact each other directly (I really *don’t* want to get into the habit of playing middleman, other than passing along contact information).

If you have something that you would feel to be of merit for this new section of the Pothole, by all means, let me know (spammers and open solicitors need not apply).

An experienced Atlanta venture capitalist is seeking a new board appointment or two to add to his portfolio of relationships. If you are interested, let me know!

An over-the-counter pharmaceutical firm is looking for a VP of Marketing and Mass Sales. The person filling this role should live on the east coast and have easy access to air travel (can you say, Atlanta?). The initial goal will be to launch leading European cough and cold products here in the United States.

Don’t forget that the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) will be hosting the Georgia Technology Summit, subtitled Innovation & Entrepreneurs: Innovation on the Edge. The event will be held on February 7th at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Keynote speakers include Ray Kurzweil (yes, *the* Ray Kurzweil), Chris Klaus (Kaneva), James McDonald (Chairman and CEO, Scientific Atlanta), and Randall Spratt (EVP and CIO of McKesson Corporation). I’ll be there, and so should you - it should be an informative event, as well as a great networking venue.

The Parkway Business Networking Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Parkway Presbyterian Church in Cumming (northern suburbs). For more information, visit their official Yahoo! group.

An outfit called “Re:Focus on Careers” is a networking organization which provides professionals with tools to create and develop job leads and contacts, grow and promote business relationships, and continue on a successful career path. They hold a seminar every two weeks called Mastering Executive Job Change which may be of interest to some of you.

If you are interested in any of the above leads, feel free to contact the party directly. In the case of anonymous leads, by all means contact me for more information.

    Cheers, and happy networking!
