10 years ago, Catalyst Magazine was a great resource for Atlanta entrepreneurs. Sadly, they fell dormant for a while and ceased publication. Not too long ago, they were sold to Billian Publishing and are now making strides towards resurrecting the magazine. This is cool … I’ve had a number of discussions with them over the past few months and they are really excited about the emerging wave of entrepreneurship that is occuring in the Southeast.

You may also remember Catalyst for their “Top 25 Entrepreneur” (and the “ones-to-watch”) awards. They’ve been quietly soliciting applications for the past month or so for the 2008 awards - and have extended it for a month. Click here for more info.

    Cheers.

Scott, I agree about the value and then the “fall” of Catalyst Magazine. I was going to use “demise” but decided against that word for the time being…. It would be nice to see it “return” with its original intent and focus. Of course, I could mention the same with the ABC but I’m not sure you really want to get me started on that one.. now do you?

All I will say is that I know I’m not the only person in Atlanta who has decided not to renew their subscription to the Atlanta Real-Estate Chroni…. er, Atlanta Business Chronicle.

    Cheers.

I thought it was the Atlanta Commercial Real-Estate/Legal Review Chronicle???
So, how many phone calls have you gotten from the ABC about the fact that your subscription was due for renewal? I even expressed why I wasn’t renewing but they just don’t seem to get it…. oh well…. next!

Atlanta also has PayLinks. Please, not another advertorial magazine throwing sponsor-laden, speaker parties! And we wonder where all the local investment money goes…
