Carbon Motors Still Alive

Last year I was one of the first to report on Carbon Motors, the company setting out to build the world’s next-generation police cruiser. I also reported on the deal that Carbon signed with Georgia Tech to help design various aspects of the vehicle. Expectations were pretty high for them, by all accounts. I haven’t heard much from them since then – until today.
I got an email from Chairman and CEO, William Santana Li, letting me know that they are looking to hire a new web designer. The full job description is below for those who may be interested (or may know someone).
I will say that I had hoped Carbon would have gotten more traction than they have thus far. I’m not sure where they are with securing their funding, but their vision and pitch seemed to be well thought out when I met with them last year. I have no idea whether or not this hiring announcement represents any renewed momentum, as web designers don’t push cars off a finish line, but it at least represents a pulse.
Perhaps we’ll hear more from them soon.
