taglogo.pngKudos to Tino Mantella, Laura Heinlein, and the rest of the gang at the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). They recently announced a new initiative, the TAG Leadership Academy. Through this new program, TAG members can participate in a variety of continuing education courses in topics ranging from marketing to human resources to technology.

Why is this important? Because Georgians have been waiting a long time for TAG to evolve to something beyond being a simple networking venue. The rollout of this new program, coupled with other initiatives, such as the recent business plan competition, are sending all the right signals to entrepreneurs here in Georgia.

I also hear through the grapevine that they are tinkering around with the idea of offering a more formalized certificate program.

    Cheers.
